Astral

More Stories

Autumn is here, and with it we welcome our next story:

Centered on all things mystical, the story is about the ASTRAL or non-physical plane, and where heaven meets earth. For us, this cosmic current translates to a moody palette, zodiac references, otherworldly subjects, and a focus on the artistic energy that pulsates through this realm—and beyond.

The ASTRAL story explores several spheres of mysticism, including the occult, clairvoyance, astrology, energetic and auric healing. While varied in execution, each of these practices stems from a desire to connect with the spiritual world that exists beyond our physical selves.

Decoding ASTRAL Symbolism

Supernatural practices are ripe with symbolism. Certain shapes are believed to have mystical powers, and symbolize aspects of our spiritual existence. These symbols are used as conduits and amplifiers of the frequencies and vibrations we want to attract, as well as protective talismans against energies we want to avoid or deflect. Below are key symbols you may notice throughout the ASTRAL story:

Circle: One of the most powerful symbols, the circle represents infinity, unity, the universe and perfection.

Egg: For millennia, the egg has been a powerful symbol, representing the earth, fertility and resurrection.

Triangle: An embodiment of the number three, the triangle relates to body, soul and spirit, as well as the past, present and future.

Star: The eight-pointed star represent the four corners of space; the eight lines are symbolic of north, south, east and west, and the two solstices and equinoxes.

Eye: Eyes are associated with enlightenment, intuition, inner wisdom, clairvoyance, as well as the sixth chakra, our third eye.

Hamsa: The hamsa hand (Arabic) or hamesh hand (Hebrew) is an old and still popular apotropaic amulet for magical protection from the envious or evil eye.

Serpent: Snakes represent fertility or a creative life force; the act of shedding their skin through sloughing, symbolizes rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing. In some cultures, snakes also represent guardianship and protection.

Scarab: The dung beetle was the most revered scarab in Ancient Egyptian culture, and a symbol of strength, persistence and immortality.

Palette

The ASTRAL story’s deep and moody palette includes layered, enigmatic hues that possess mystical powers and reflect all things astral.

Midnight Black: Black absorbs and hides, but also represents new beginnings and knowledge of hidden things. As the container of light, it is one of the most powerful colors.

Indigo Blue: Indigo governs the third eye and is connected to psychic abilities, telepathy and communication with the spirit world.

Lapis Blue: The lapis lazuli stone is known for its rich blue hue and celestial gold flecks, and is connected to protection and manifestation.

Cosmic Violet: This enigmatic shade of purple is connected to psychic ability and spiritual enlightenment. It represents the dream and imagination states.

Alchemist Gold: Gold represents perfection in all matter, on various levels, symbolizing one’s journey to perfection, refinement and illumination.

Lunar Platinum: With its reflective and sensitive qualities, this silver color inspires intuition and clairvoyance, and reflects back any energy given out, whether it is positive or negative.
